Placement Cell 2025

On 17 November 2025, under the guidance of our worthy Principal Ms. Archana Verma and under the direction of our college Administrative Incharge Dr. Sandhya Sood, the Placement Cell of Government Shaheed Smarak Government P.G. College, Tigaon organized a Training Programme on Financial Literacy with the objective of enhancing students’ understanding of essential financial concepts, money management skills, and responsible financial behaviour.
Ms. Jyoti Kapoor, an empanelled SMART Trainer for SEBI, was the resource person for the programme. The session was attended by students from various streams including Arts, Commerce, and Science. A total of 106 students participated in the lecture.
The resource person delivered an informative and interactive lecture covering key topics such as the importance of financial discipline, banking fundamentals and digital transactions, understanding credit scores and loan management, basics of investments (FDs, SIPs, mutual funds), and avoiding financial frauds and cyber-safety. The session included real-life examples and practical tips for students, making the content easily understandable.
Students actively participated by asking questions related to savings, investment methods, and securing online financial transactions. Their enthusiastic involvement demonstrated the relevance and importance of the topic. Along with the students, Ms. Preeti Raina, Dr. Anita Rani, Mr. Anuj, Ms. Lakshmi, Dr. Suman, and Ms. Priyanka were also present during the session.
