The department of Tourism Management organized a group discussion activity on 19 sep 2025 under the guidance of our worthy Principal Mr. C.S vashisht on the topic "Over -Tourism: The students participated and discussed about Over Tourism .Few students expressed their views in favour of imposing limits by Government on Tourist numbers in popular destinations. And others were of the view that imposing limits on no of tourist will be a loss to economy. The discussion concluded that while tourism is beneficial, over-tourism presents serious challenges that must be addressed. Sustainable tourism policies, responsible travel, and better management strategies are essential to ensure long-term benefits for both tourists and host communities. Students emphasized the need for a balanced approach to tourism that preserves cultural heritage and natural resources while supporting economic growth. At last few recommendations were given by Ms. Preeti Raina such as Implementation of stricter regulations to control tourist influx., Increased awareness and education about responsible tourism and Promotion of sustainable travel practices through eco-tourism initiatives students of BTTM participated in this activity
